SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) media bureau in a statement on Wednesday urged Iran to stop the bombings on the Kurdistan Region, saying it damages the relations.
The media bureau of the PUK condemned the bombings by Iran which targeted the Iran-based opposition parties’ headquarters in Kurdistan, located in both Erbil and Sulaimani provinces.
“In addition to human lose, material damages, and panic among civilians with the flagrant violation of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq’s sovereignty, the attacks won’t match the principles of a good neighbor and friendly relations,” it said in the statement.
“Despite the condemnation of the attack, we urge to be stopped immediately because it damages civilians and the relations,” it added.
The statement also extended sympathy to the victims and hoped for an early recovery for the wounded.
On Wednesday Ian’s Revolutionary Guards attacked Iran-based Kurdish opposition parties’ headquarters in the Kurdistan Region, since morning the heavy bombings continue, wiping out the targeted sites by drones and missiles.
The Kurdistan Region Health Ministry confirmed that casualties are among both civilians and the members of the Iran-based opposition parties, including children and women.
