PUK, KDP to meet next week, says source

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) will hold a meeting next week to discuss the formation of a new government in Iraq, a source said on Wednesday.

A KDP source with knowledge of the matter told Esta Media Network that officials from the PUK and KDP politburos would meet next week.

“The KDP delegation is likely to visit the PUK in Sulaimani,” the source said.

The two parties will discuss the formation of a joint delegation and the preparation of a “package” with the other Kurdish parties so as to negotiate the Kurdish entitlements in Iraq.
