SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) provides several units of housing for kids who reach 18 years old in the orphanages, according to a Ministry on Wednesday.

The KRG has shown consent to provide a number of units of housing to kids that should leave the orphanages after reaching 18 years old, said the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in a statement.

The decision came following KRG’s recent initiative to build 20,000 units of housing for the poor population of the Region.

“The Ministry demanded the KRG to dedicate several units of housing of the initiative for kids that leave the orphanages due to their age limits,” it said.

A number of units of housing will be also dedicated to women who suffered from domestic violence and live in the government protection shelters, the Ministry added.
