SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraq and the Kurdistan Region announced on Saturday that Monday would be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
Kurdish Minister of Endowment and Religious Affairs Pishtiwan Sadiq said the Region’s committee to sight crescent did not see the crescent on Saturday evening.
“Sunday will be the last day of Ramadan and Monday will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr,” he said in a press conference.
Iraq’s Sunni Endowment and Saudi Arabia also announced Monday as the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
