Police arrest three suspects on killing Kirkuk wealthy businessman

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Police announced it arrested three suspects in connection to the killing of a wealthy businessman who owns several oil refineries based in oil-rich Kirkuk province.

40-year-old Aram Asi, a wealthy businessman, was found dead in his summer house with shots in the head earlier on Saturday during pre-dawn hours.

The victim’s summer house is located on the outskirts of Kirkuk. He was fatally shot and killed with a silencer gun, police said.

The perpetrators immediately escaped the crime scene. Subsequently, police arrested the victim’s wife. She is suspected of complicity in the killing.

Late Saturday night, a statement was released by Kirkuk police indicating that three more suspects have been arrested in connection to the incident.
