KRG PM meets CHP delegation in Erbil

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with a delegation from Republican People’s Party (CHP) in Erbil on Sunday.

Barzani and the CHP delegation led by Oguz Kaan Salici, the party’s deputy head, discussed ways to develop relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, the KRG said in a statement.

“Turkey is a neighbor and an important country in the region and the world,” Barzani said.

Barzani stressed that the Kurdistan Region “is a factor of stability in the region and always seeks to establish the best relationship with Turkey”, the statement read.

The CHP delegation said the aim of its visit was to strengthen ties between the Region and Turkey.
