Deputy Premier Qubad Talabani boycotts KRG Council of Ministers weekly meeting

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Deputy of the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Qubad Talabani has boycotted the weekly meeting of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers on Wednesday, an informed source told Esta.

KRG Council of Ministers was set to hold its weekly meeting to discuss local matters relating to the Kurdistan Region at 1100 local time in Erbil’s government palace.

An Informed source told Esta that Deputy Premier Talabani has boycotted today’s meeting.

“Talabani did not partake in the meeting,” the source confirmed but in a voice that anyhow the meeting took place, without providing further details.

The reason behind the boycott remained unclear, there were no immediate comments.
