Kurdistan Region reports 797 new coronavirus cases, 32 deaths

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region recorded 797 new coronavirus and 32 deaths on Sunday, according to the ministry of health.

The Region’s health ministry said in a statement that it had registered 274 cases in Erbil, 195 in Sulaimani, 31 in Garmian, 283 in Duhok and 14 in Halabja.

The ministry added that it had logged eight new deaths in Erbil, 11 in Sulaimani, one in Garmian, nine in Duhok and three in Halabja.

Up to 465 more patients had recovered from COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours, the health ministry stated.

The Region’s total number of cases reached 61,703 cases, of which 2,161 died and 37,584 recovered, the ministry’s figures showed.
