SULAIMANI – (ESTA) On the 19th anniversary of the election of President Mam Jalal as the first Iraqi president of the Kurdish nation, Qubad Talabani said, “Everyone can testify that during his presidency he cared for everyone without discrimination.”.
Qubad Talabani, Supervisor of the General Secretariat of President Mam Jalal, said, “19 years ago, for the first time in Iraq, a president took office who had the consensus of all political parties and all Iraqi communities and had more than half a century of struggle for freedom, democracy and justice for the Kurdish people’s national rights.”.
“Everyone can testify that during his presidency, he defended the rights of all communities and the rights of all citizens without discrimination cared for everyone, and brought together the conflicting parties،” he said.
Also, he added that “the Kurdistan Region and Iraq need more than ever the mentality of unity، national unity, fighting corruption، and reform that President Mam Jalal embodied at that time.”.
