SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Yann Braem, Consul General of France, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed the long-standing relations between the Kurdish people and France and emphasized the development of cooperation within the framework of protecting the highest interests.
President Bafel Jalal Talabani spoke about the political situation in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the area. He said, “He was committed to a peaceful solution to the problems that lead to instability in the region and threaten people’s lives; everyone must be concerned about solving the problems and dealing with the situation responsibly.”.
