SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The long-awaited Iraq-Turkey oil pipeline is set to commence operations this week, according to Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister, Alparslan Bayraktar, on Monday.
In a recent oil conference held in Abu Dhabi, Turkish Energy Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) oil pipeline is fully prepared to recommence oil exports as of today.
Minister Davutoglu further revealed that the actual resumption of oil exports will take place next week.
“Once operations are back on track, an impressive half a million barrels of oil will be exported daily through the Iraqi-Turkish oil pipeline,” he said.
