SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The U.S.-led Coalition forces shot down a drone as it was heading towards Erbil, Iraqi media reported on Sunday.
Shafaq News cited a Coalition source as saying that the Iraqi air force’s radar system detected a number of drones in the skies of Iraq late on Saturday.
The drones flew from the direction of the Iraq-Iran border towards Erbil, the source told Shafaq News.
Esta Media Network contacted the director of Harir sub-district, Karwan Karim Khan, for further information, but he said, “We are unaware of any such attack”.
