KRG declares Tuesday holiday for Iraq’s Independence

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Regional Government declared Tuesday as an official Holiday in commemoration of Iraq’s Independence Day.

The KRG has announced that tomorrow will be an official holiday in all institutions across the Kurdistan Region.

This declaration is in accordance with the official holiday schedule of the Kurdistan Region, which includes all Iraqi institutions.

The holiday is in commemoration of Iraq’s Independence Day, which was declared on October 3, 1932, after the country was liberated from British rule.

All government offices and schools will remain closed on Tuesday.
