SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President declared on Friday that no crime will go unpunished after the son of a notable figure was shot dead in Sulaimani.

Roj Hassan, aged 16, the son of the late renowned Sulaimani figure Wasta Hasan Kababchi, tragically lost his life in a road rage incident that occurred in the Sarhcnar area of Sulaimani City on Thursday night.

The Kababchi family was widely recognized for their ownership of Wasta Hassan, a highly regarded restaurant that specialized in serving Kurdish traditional cuisine.

In their pursuit of justice, the Kababchi family appealed to the Kurdistan Region authorities, specifically directing their plea to PUK’s Talabani, in hopes of obtaining justice for their beloved son.

Subsequently, Talabani expressed his condolences to the family of Wasta Hassan Kababchi, assuring them that “no crime will go unpunished,” vowing to pursue every wrongdoer, leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of accountability.

Furthermore, it has been reported that Roj’s brother sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
