The measles vaccination campaign will be extended

SULAIMANI – (ESTA) The Iraqi Ministry of Health says, “It has decided to extend the vaccination campaign against measles.”.

“The measles vaccination campaign has been extended for another two days after it ended on the 24th of this month.” Dr. Kamal Abdul Razzaq Kazim, deputy director of the vaccination department at the Iraqi Ministry of Health, told Sabah newspaper.

“The campaign will continue on Sunday and Monday this week, while in the past 10 days, 6 million, 206 thousand and 829 children have been vaccinated at a rate of 83.9% throughout Iraq, including Kurdistan, in order to protect the people of our country and their health from infection with that disease.”.

Also, he added, “We have teams in health centers in all provinces to vaccinate students who were not present, had permission or did not have the opportunity to vaccinate in their schools.”.
