Iraq says Turkish Foreign Minister is traveling to Baghdad today

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to arrive in Baghdad today, according to Iraq’s Foreign Ministry.

“The Turkish foreign minister arrives today in Baghdad on an official visit that lasts for two days,” the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported on Tuesday, citing Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, the spokesman for the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

During his visit, “Fidan will meet the three presidencies, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein,” Sahaf said.

Iraq’s Foreign Ministry earlier stated that The Turkish top diplomat will be traveling to Iraq’s Baghdad on Wednesday.

Turkey’s Foreign Minister also separately announced today that “During his three-day stay, Fidan will engage in high-level talks in Baghdad and Erbil, focusing on bolstering bilateral cooperation and exchanging perspectives on current regional and international affairs.”
