PUK President receives Iraq’s National Security Adviser

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Saturday received Iraq’s National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji in the City of Sulaimani, Dabashan area.

In a meeting, the pair highlighted the political and security situation of the country and stressed expanding military and intelligence coordination to preserve stability and betterment of people’s lives, according to a press release.

Earlier this morning, Araji arrived in Sulaimani City, where he intends to follow up on security issues related to neighboring Iran, his office said.

Araji’s visit to the Kurdish city of Sulaimani came in the light of instructions issued by the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi armed forces, the office added.
