SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Directorate of Operations in the Kurdistan Security Service late Monday announced that it had arrested a drug trafficking gang in the city of Sulaimani.
“After obtaining information on a drug gang in Sulaimani province who are charged with narcotic using and trafficking, investigations were immediately initiated by the security service,” a statement released by the Directorate said.
“The gang consisted of three suspects all of them were caught red-handed last Friday while dealing with narcotic substances,” the statement added.
It further stated that 781 grams of methamphetamine were seized by law enforcement forces as well which belonged to the gang.
