SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Defense systems at Harir base in Erbil province, which hosts US-led coalition forces, shot down a drone while it was hovering near the base on Monday, according to eyewitnesses.
It was not clear whether the drone was on a surveillance mission or if it was carrying any explosives.
No damages or casualties were reported.
Massive shootings were also heard according to residents who live near the base.
