German Foreign Minister makes visit to Iraq, Kurdistan

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will make an official visit to Iraq on Tuesday, the spokesperson of the Iraqi government said.

“The German Foreign Minister will arrive in Iraq and meet with Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Sudani,” Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, the Govt spokesperson said.

On the agenda of the meetings the two sides will discuss bolstering Baghdad-Berlin ties and mutual opportunities in all fields, particularly in the energy as well as investment, Sahhaf added.

Esta Media Network has learned that the German Minister is also set to visit the Kurdistan Region, Erbil, to meet with Kurdish officials after she concludes her travel in the Iraqi capital.
