SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi president Latif Rashid on Sunday stressed the need to intensify efforts to support the ongoing government’s agenda.
The Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported that President Rashid received a group of lawmakers at the presidential palace.
In the meeting, the president stressed the need to intensify efforts to support the government’s “service” agenda, saying “It must ensure the legitimate demands of all people.”
The new Iraqi government headed by Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani took office in October last year following a prolonged political deadlock since a parliamentary election in October 2021.
Moreover, President Rashid in the meeting also placed emphasis on the need to take measures to enhance the security situation across the country, INA added.
