Deputy prime minister, British Ambassador discuss case of martyr colonel Hawkar Jaff

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The deputy of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister, Qubad Talabani, and the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson-Richardson, on Thursday discussed the case of the Kurdish intelligence officer, martyr colonel Hawkar Jaff.

“The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has called for a joint investigation committee under the supervision of international parties to reveal the truth to the public since the very beginning of the incident,” Talabani said regarding the case of martyr Hawkar Jaff.

October last year, Kurdish intelligence officer Hawkar Jaff was killed in a bomb blast in Erbil.

Talabani also said he had discussed the people’s demands and amending the service situation with the British ambassador.

Speaking on Kurdistan-Baghdad relations Talabani added that “The sole option before us is a lasting comprehensive agreement with Baghdad.”
