SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al Sudani will visit Washington, D.C., Iraqi sources on Saturday reported.
The sources cited two Iraqi officials as saying that the Prime Minister is planning to depart Baghdad for an official visit to Washington, D.C., leading a high-level governmental delegation.
It also stated that there is ongoing coordination with the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad regarding the Prime Minister’s visit.
No further specifications were available regarding the day of the visit.
One of the topics that the Prime Minister is set to discuss with U.S. officials is the issue of the U.S. troops on Iraqi soil, the sources added.
