SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) arrived in Sulaimani city on Sunday to meet with officials from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (KDP) and Change Movement (Gorran).

The KDP delegation led by Politburo member Hoshyar Zebari started its first meeting with the PUK in Dabashan in Sulaimani. The PUK delegation is led by Co-leader Bafel Talabani.

The two parties are expected to discuss the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq during the meeting.

The KDP delegation will later visit the Gorran movement.

Gorran Spokesman Adnan Othman said on Saturday that the KDP delegation’s visit to Sulaimani would be preparation for a tripartite meeting between the KDP, PUK and Gorran in the future.

“The parties should meet to set up a strategy … to [help] reform progress. They should solve the people’s issues,” he said in a press conference.

“We hope the tripartite meeting will be a series one and point finger on all the issues.
