Sulaimani Senior Security officials meet to discuss security situation

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The General Director of the Kurdistan Region’s Protection and Information/Information agency met The General Director of Sulaimani Security Forces (Asayish) on Wednesday, in Sulaimani, where the two sides reiterated their commitment to bolster security.

Jalal Sheikh Naji, The General Director of the Protection and Information/Information agency and General Director of Sulaimani Security Forces Hiwa Ahmad met, a press release said.

The officials discussed the ways to enhance border security within the Kurdistan Region in order to prevent illegal acts that harm the Region’s security.

Moreover, it pointed out the implementation of the decisions, aiming to further control the borders and the prevention of smuggling, according to the press release.

“The outlaws who violate the decisions and rules must not be tolerated, the law must be valid for everyone without any differences,” Sheikh Naji said.

He also encouraged the meeting to be loyal in implementing their duties for the sake of the high interests of the Kurdistan Region as well as maintaining the protection and tranquility of the people.

“It’s our duty to bolster security so that we can act better to deter any unwanted development,” Sheikh Naji stressed.
