CTG arrests suscept over terrorism charges in Sulaimani province

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) said on Tuesday that it arrested a suspect over terrorism charges in Sulaimani province.

The Kurdish CTG forces in collaboration with the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism service arrested a suspect in Kalar district of Sulaimani province following an operation, it said in a statement.

The suspect was charged with article four of terrorism. He was originally from Salahadin province, according to the statement.

CTG did not provide further detail regarding the suspect and the operation as well.

Joint operations between the CTG and ICTS have witnessed a mount since last year to bring outlaws to justice across Iraq.
