Dozens of Komala Peshmerga were taken as hostages – party

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Dozens of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan were trapped in an ambush of the Iranian forces and taken as hostages, the party said on Monday.

In a statement published by the party’s central committee secretary, Komala said, “In the time of conducting an intelligence activity in Urmia, unit of a Komala Peshmerga was trapped in an ambush by the Iranian forces”.

“They were taken by Iran’s oppressor regime, unfortunately, as hostages,” it said.

“We will publish further details for the public opinion shortly” it added.
