SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Peshmerga Minister Shorsh Ismail said on Friday, “we returned eight billion Iraqi dinars to the government treasury”.
“We have made effective, great step amid reform law that resulted in improving Peshmerga living conditions,” Shorsh Ismail said in a statement.
“During three years working in the Peshmerga ministry, relying on the government agenda of reform, we have made great steps,” he said.
“The reform changed salary distribution method to virtual method, through receiving bank check and creating credit cards, so for, 33,382 high ranking Peshmerga, as well as officers, receive their salaries by bank check” he added.
He continued, “the ministry has prevented wasting, it returned 8 billion Iraqi Dinars to the government treasury during one year, and 14 billion dinars have spent to help to fund the cost of battlefield victims” and, “returning part of the accumulated debt on the ministry”.
