SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Bafel Jalal Talabani met with U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller in Baghdad on Monday, his office said in a statement.
The two sides discussed the latest political developments in Iraq and Kurdistan Region as well as steps to form a new Iraqi government, Talabani office said.
They stressed on “understanding and dialogue as solution to find a mechanism to reach agreements and understanding that are in the public interest”, the statement read.
Talabani reiterated the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s (PUK) eager to reach agreements so as to overcome political obstacles and form an “efficient and serviceable government that will meet today’s needs and desires of people and lead to political and economic stability and security in the country.”
