SULAIMANI (ESTA) — People who travel through Sulaimani international airport are required to have received two doses of coronavirus vaccines and undergone PCR tests, authorities said on Wednesday.

The Iraqi government has decided that people who have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines don’t need to take PCR tests to travel through the country’s airports, according to Iraqi media.

Director of Sulaimani airport Tahir Abdulla said tourists should have received two jabs of the coronavirus and undergone PCR tests to travel via the airport.

“The Iraqi government and the Regional Government have not officially sent us new instructions regarding tourists who don’t need to take PCR tests if they have gotten two doses of coronavirus vaccines,” Abdulla told Esta Media Network.

“Tourists will be allowed to travel when they have received two jabs and taken PCR tests,” he added.
