Kurdistan Region’s COVID-19 cases rise by 304 to 96,201: health ministry

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region’s coronavirus cases rose by 304 to 96,201 on Sunday, said the ministry of health.

The Region’s ministry of health said in a statement that it had recorded 98 new cases in Erbil, 72 in Sulaimani, 105 in Duhok, nine in Halabja, 18 in Garmian and two in Raparin.

The health ministry further said 14 more patients had died from the virus in the past 24 hours, while 539 had recovered.

Three new deaths were in Erbil, four in Sulaimani, five in Duhok and two more were in Garmian and Raparin, the ministry added.

The Kurdistan Region’s death toll rose to 3,132 while recoveries reached 60,165, according to the ministry’s figures.
