Explosion kills two including policeman in Kirkuk province: Iraqi military

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two people were killed and six others were wounded in an explosion in a village in Kirkuk on Monday.

Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a statement that a member of Hashid al-Shaabi and a member of oil and gas police were killed in the explosion in Palkana village in Sargaran sub-district in Kirkuk.

Six members of Hashid al-Shaabi, or the Popular Mobilization Forces, were wounded in the explosion, the Iraqi military added.

A security source said earlier on Monday that four fighters from Hashid al-Shaabi and three policemen were wounded in the blast.

No groups have claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
