SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) denied reports that its fighters had been bombed by the United States on Iraq-Syria border on Sunday.
Commander of Hashid al-Shaabi Operations in Anbar Qassem Muslih said in a statement that its units had rejected they had been bombed in areas on Iraq-Syria border.
“What was published in the media regarding the exposure of the sectors stationed on the Iraqi-Syrian border to a U.S. air strike is baseless,” Muslih added
“The security situation in those areas is stable,” he continued.
Some local media reported earlier on Sunday that the United States had bombed a base belonging to Hashid al-Shaabi in Anbar province.
