SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) received Anu Saarela, Ambassador of Finland to Iraq, in Dabashan.
The meeting discussed the latest political, economic and security developments, emphasizing the continuation of dialogue and coordination between political forces and parties in order to resolve issues and direct the country towards stability.
President Bafel Jalal Talabani explained the position of the PUK on all equations and said that, “we are committed to stability in the country and ensuring a decent life for our people, and all our efforts to end conflicts and reach a result that brings peace and prosperity”.
Regarding the holding of elections in the Kurdistan Region, both sides agreed to hold fair elections on schedule and become a source of political stability, progress and strengthening the foundations of democracy in our region.
