Kurdistan Region president arrives in Britain

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani arrived in Britain on Wednesday to hold talks with senior officials.

Barzani is scheduled to meet with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and secretaries of state for defense and for foreign, commonwealth and development affairs in London, the Region’s presidency said in a statement.

The Kurdish president will discuss bilateral relations and the development of cooperation between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and Britain, the statement read.

The fight against terrorism and stability in Iraq and the region will also be discussed, it said.
