SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two members of Kurdish security forces were wounded in an explosion near Said Sadiq in southeast of Sulaimani city on Saturday, according to a local official.

The official, who spoke under condition of anonymity, said an Islamic State (ISIS) flag was placed in an area near the village of Kani Sbilka in Said Sadiq district.

The explosion occurred when members of the Asayish (security) forces were trying to pick up the flag, the official told Esta Media Network.

“There was a mine hidden under the flag,” the official said.

“There is no ISIS group in the area. We doubt the explosion had been carried out by the group,” the official added.
