KRG names new representative to Kingdom of Spain

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Tuesday named a new representative to the Kingdom of Spain in a bid to further strengthen the bilateral ties.

In a distinguished ceremony in Erbil attended by Safeen Dizayee, the head of the KRG Department of Foreign Relations, and his Deputy Daban Shadala, Darawan Hamid was named as the new representative for the KRG in Spain.

Dizyaee stated that Hamid’s appointment comes in the frame of changes to further develop the KRG relations with foreign countries.

He also wished all successes for Hamid for the sake of the interest of the Kurdistan people, reaffirming the Department’s support to succeed in his endeavors in Spain.

The KRG has representatives and offices in 14 different countries, working to strengthen relations with the international community.
