Kurdish forces detain Sudanese magician southeast of Duhok

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The security forces detained a Sudanese magician in the Kurdistan Region’s district of Bardarash on Wednesday, police said on Thursday.

Police chief Saadi Barzinji said a Sudanese man, Nasradin Sudani, was detained by the Asayish (security) forces for practicing witchcraft in Bardarash, southeast of Duhok.

“The person has deceived many people through magic work and received a lot of money from them,” Barzinji told Esta Media Network.

The suspect, who has lived in Bardarash for several years, had confessed to “the crime and investigations have been launched”, he said.
