SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A Kurdish woman living in London works to acquaint the Kurdish society with nude art in the Kurdistan Region.
Bafrin Rashid, who studied nude art in London, said she had not given up her dream despite of obstacles she faced in the Region.
“This job is difficult in our society,” Rashid told Esta Media Network. “But I liked to bring it to the Kurdish society.”
“There were many obstacles, including unpleasant comments. But I did not give up,” she said, noting people seemed to have understood that it is an art form.
Rashid also said she had tried to keep a Kurdish background in her paintings, but she had not been able to find a girl who could wear a thin dress for her paintings, she added.
She has participated in several exhibitions. Rashid said she “plans to take Kurdish art to another new phase that will have a new position in the global art”.
