SULAIMANI (ESTA) — All powers of Lahur Shaikh Jangi as co-leader have been handed to Bafel Talabani, the co-president of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).
Following the meeting of PUK Politburo on Thursday, it was decided that Sheikh Jangi would hand over all of his powers as co-leader to PUK co-president Talabani from Saturday.
The transfer of powers from Sheikh Jangi to Talabani will continue until the completion of amendment to the party’s by-laws.
