SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki arrived in Iraq on Sunday to meet with senior Iraqi officials.
Maliki is expected to hold talks with Iraqi President Barham Salih and Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi during his visit to the country.
On Saturday, the Iraqi foreign ministry said the Palestinian official would hold talks with his Iraqi counterpart and the three presidencies.
Palestinian ambassador to Iraq Ahmed Aql told Sabah Newspaper that Maliki would discuss strengthening relations between Iraq and Palestine, and he would also sign an “agreement of joint coordination”.
Meanwhile, Iraq’s National Security Advisor Qasem al-Araji paid a visit to Palestine to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, according to Iraqi media.
