PKK attacks Turkish military air base with drone in Diyarbakir – report

Turkey has yet to confirm the attack

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) attacked a military air base with aa drone in Turkey’s Diyarbakir late on Tuesday, PKK-affiliated media reported.

The PKK-affiliated media reported that Turkish military’s air force command was attacked with drones at the Pirinclik Air Base in Diyarbakir.

“Loud explosion was heard inside the Diyarbakir military base,” the PKK media said.

There was no immediate comment from the Turkish defense ministry.

The PKK, designated a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and European Union, took up arms against the Turkish state in 1984. More than 40,000 people have been killed in the conflict, focused in southeast Turkey.
