SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraq and the Kurdistan Region announced on Tuesday that Thursday would be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
Kurdish Minister of Endowment and Religious Affairs Pishtiwan Sadiq said the Region’s committee to sight crescent did not see the crescent on Tuesday evening.
“Therefore, Wednesday will be the last day of Ramadan, and Thursday will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr,” Sadiq said in a press conference.
