DPM received the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq

SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Qubad Talabani، Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Deputy Prime Minister، received Japanese Ambassador to Iraq Fatoshi Matsumoto.

The Deputy Prime Minister، in a meeting، thanked Japan for its assistance to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in various fields، especially in the fields of education، culture، and cultural development. He stressed the need to develop relations between the Kurdistan Region and Japan، especially in the field of technology and empowering young innovators and entrepreneurs.

The meeting also discussed the Foundation Hab project، which is an important training and capacity-building center for innovators and entrepreneurs and is scheduled to open in the near future. Both sides agreed that this project will play a role in developing the skills of innovative youth and strengthening the private sector in the Kurdistan Region.

Qubad Talabani asked Japan to assist the Kurdistan Region in the success of the project، both in terms of sending trainers and opening training courses in Japan for innovators and entrepreneurs in the region. The Japanese ambassador expressed his country’s readiness for all kinds of assistance for the success of the project.
