A replacement for Halbusi was named

SULAIMANI – (ESTA) The Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) has named Burhan Namrawi as the replacement of Mohammed Halbusi in the 2021 elections in Anbar province.

In Anbar province, Burhan Nasser Mohammed Fahd al-Namrawi received 6,716 votes, the most of any of the defeated candidates, according to a letter from the Iraqi Election Commission. He’ll take Mohammed Halbusi’s post.

Mohammed Halbusi was formerly suspended from the parliament by the Iraqi Supreme Court.
