Sudani: There are no excuses for the stay of international coalition forces in Iraq

SULAIMANI – (ESTA) The Iraqi Prime Minister has said, “The excuses for the stay of international coalition forces are over, and their withdrawal is important for Iraqi security.”.

“The Iraqi government and people respect the international position that contributed to the eradication of terrorism, but now the excuses for the stay of these forces are over,” Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani told a meeting at the Davos conference.

“We have begun to implement our commitments through negotiations with the international coalition to withdraw from Iraq because the completion of their missions is important for Iraqi security,” he said.

The prime minister also spoke about oil and the budget, saying that “in the three-year budget that the government set last year, they set a goal to reduce dependence on oil from 95% to 80% as a source of revenue and turn to important strategic projects for the development of the country.”.
