SULAIMANI – (ESTA) A member of Idris Nanawa’s lawyer team said that, “he was arrested in Erbil Security Prison and an investigation has not been opened against him and he has not been brought in front of a judge”.
Aso Hashim, a member of Idris Nanawa’s lawyer team, said, “Idris Nanawa has been taken to Erbil Security Prison since Monday”.
“He is not the subject of an investigation, and it is unknown when he will appear before an investigating judge.” he mentioned.
The proprietor of an Erbil bakery, Idris Massoud, took part in a protest march on Monday against the decision to sell ten breads (‘Nan’ in Kurdish) for one thousand dinars. After the gathering concluded yesterday evening, he was taken into custody by security personnel and taken to an undisclosed location.
