SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on Wednesday extended its congratulations to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on the successful party congress.
The Political Bureau of the KDP has extended warm congratulations to Bafel Talabani, the newly re-elected president of the PUK, on the successful conclusion of their fifth congress.
“Congratulations on successfully concluding the fifth congress of your party and on your election as president and leadership members,” the message said.
The KDP also conveyed their hopes that the outcomes and decisions made during the congress would mark a significant turning point in strengthening their relations.
“We are thrilled and hopeful that the outcomes and decisions made during your congress will mark a significant turning point in strengthening relations and serving the best interests of our nation,” the message added.
The fifth congress of the PUK, a prominent political force in the Kurdistan Region, was a momentous occasion that brought together party members and leaders to discuss and shape the future direction of their organization.
During the congress which was held last week in Sulaimani City, Bafel Talabani was re-elected as the President of the PUK. This re-election has received praise from both Kurdish and Iraqi leaders.
