SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Asa’ib Ahl Al-Haq leader Qais Khazali on Friday congratulated Bafel Talabani after his re-election as the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on Wednesday.
“I extend my sincere congratulations to Mr. Bafel Jalal Talabani on his re-election as the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK). In this regard, I also extend my felicitations to the leaders and members of the PUK on the success of their congress,” Khazali said in a message.
“The achievement is a source of inspiration and motivation to serve our citizens in the Kurdistan Region with greater zeal and dedication,” he said.
“Furthermore, the PUK’s unwavering commitment to the unity of the Iraqi people and territory is highly commendable. Such a stance underscores the paramount importance of national cohesion and harmony in any country’s development and progress,” he added.
“Once again, I congratulate Mr. Bafel Jalal Talabani and the PUK on their success and wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” he continued.
PUK’s fifth congress kicked off on Wednesday in Sulaimani City.
PUK’s Talabani stated that this Congress marks a new phase in their party’s journey towards “reconciliation, unity, and progress.”
“As the PUK, we are determined to make any sacrifices necessary for the betterment of our nation,” he said.
