Asayish apprehends arms trafficking gang in Sulaimani

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdish security forces known as (Asayish) on Monday said they had arrested an arms trafficking gang in Sulaimani.

The Kurdistan Region Security Service apprehended four suspects after issuing a warrant by the determined judge.

The suspects are charged with the illicit trade of arms across the Kurdistan Region.

It also added that they had seized a number of AK-47 weapons as well.

Suspects are being held in custody as investigations are still underway.
